Rent interpreting equipment for your event on site, online or hybrid
Are you planning a multilingual event and do you need the right equipment for it? With us you can rent interpreting equipment and conference equipment in any size: from a mobile tour guide system for a factory tour through to a complete interpreting system with several booths for your congress. We deliver, set up, test and stay at your side throughout your event.
You can rent interpreting equipment from us without interpreters, too. If you need both, you get them from a single source: simultaneous interpreters and equipment, properly matched to each other. Thirty years of conference work have taught us what matters here.
Rent interpreting equipment for your on-site event
Rent interpreting and conference equipment for events on site
At an on-site event the equipment decides whether your interpretation really reaches people. We bring everything that is needed and set it up to suit your room:
- Sound-insulated interpreting booths with interpreter consoles, one booth per language
- Transmission by infrared or radio, plus receivers and headphones for your participants
- Conference equipment on request: microphones, loudspeakers, lectern and recording technology
- Mobile tour guide system for tours, factory visits and small groups
- Set-up, test run and support from professional technicians
You can rent the interpreting equipment on its own or book it together with our interpreters. Either way it comes from a single source, with one contact for everything.
Rent interpreting equipment for your online event
Technology for video conferences and online events
Online you do not rent a booth from us, you rent the infrastructure behind it. Your participants should simply switch channel and listen, nothing more:
- Interpretation channels in Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex, set up and tested in advance
- Interpreting platforms such as Interactio or Kudo for multilingual events
- Hosting of your video conference, if you would rather hand the technology over completely
- Our remote hub in Overath if you need it, with booths, interpreter consoles, screens and backed-up connections
- Technical support throughout the event, for your speakers as well
Sound is what counts. So we sort out headsets, settings and a test run with everyone who is going to speak.
Rent interpreting equipment for your hybrid event
Equipment on site and a clean connection to the outside
Hybrid means part of your audience is in the room and part is at a screen, and both should hear the same thing. So we combine the equipment on site with the transmission out to the network:
- Interpreting booths, receivers and sound in the room
- Connection to Zoom, Teams or Webex, including interpretation channels for those joining remotely
- Interpreters on site or connected from our studio, whichever suits your event better
- A return channel for questions from online, so remote participants are not just watching
- One technical team for both, instead of two providers who first have to coordinate
We discuss with you beforehand which option makes most sense for your room. In our experience that planning decides more than the equipment itself.
Rent an interpreting booth, an interpreting system or a tour guide system
Which set-up suits your event?
Which set-up is right depends on the room and on the programme. A short overview, so you know what to ask for:
- Interpreting booth: the sound-insulated booth for your simultaneous interpreters. Standard at conferences, conventions and shareholder meetings.
- Interpreting system: booth, interpreter console, transmitter and receivers together make up the complete system. It carries the interpretation to your participants without any noise in the room.
- Tour guide system: the mobile solution without a booth. One microphone for the speaker, one for the interpretation, one receiver for each guest. Ideal for tours, delegations and discussions around a table.
- Receivers and headphones: in the numbers you need, cleaned, charged and with a few in reserve.
- Rent conference equipment: our hire service also covers microphones, sound, vision and streaming, if you need more than interpreting equipment.
Not sure yet what you need? Tell us how many languages, how many participants and which room. We will suggest the rest.

Where we set up your equipment

Local knowledge saves time. Our technicians know many venues from the inside, which saves you a round of coordination during set-up.
What our clients say about our interpreting and conference equipment
"Since 2014, simultando has been our partner for kick-off events, trade fairs or customer events that we hold together with our American manufacturing partner Caterpillar. Apart from having a reliable product, what is really important in the construction machinery industry is offering excellent service. Ms. Schu and her team offer impeccable service, both when it comes to the organisation ahead of the event and when providing the service on site. Just like we do in our daily business, we seek long-term cooperation and are already looking forward to our next event together!"
"simultando fully convinced us with their service at our congress. Providing an accurate interpretation of lectures on chiropractic requires a high level of expert knowledge. Getting this right while delivering a lively presentation is an art."
"We have worked with simultando for a long time now, and have always enjoyed the cooperation. The truly outstanding quality of their work and their high level of flexibility are absolutely convincing!"
Frequently asked questions about renting interpreting equipment
What does it cost to rent interpreting equipment?
The price depends on the type and scale of the system, the number of languages and participants, the length of the event and the venue. A binding quote is possible once these points have been clarified.
Can interpreting equipment be rented without interpreters?
Yes. The equipment can be rented on its own, including set-up, a test run and technical support during the event.
Can conference equipment be rented from simultando as well?
Yes. Alongside interpreting equipment, the hire service also covers conference equipment: microphones, loudspeakers, a lectern, vision and streaming. Both can be rented together, so there is only one provider on site.
What equipment is needed for simultaneous interpreting?
On site a sound-insulated interpreting booth with an interpreter console, transmission by infrared or radio, and receivers with headphones for the participants. For tours and small groups a mobile tour guide system is enough. Online, interpretation channels in Zoom, Teams or Webex or an interpreting platform are used.
What is a tour guide system?
A mobile system without a booth: the interpreter speaks into a microphone and the participants listen through receivers with headphones. It suits tours, factory visits, delegation trips and discussions in small groups.
How many interpreting booths are needed?
As a rule one booth per target language, each staffed by two interpreters. Three target languages therefore require three booths.
How many receivers are needed?
One for every person listening to an interpretation. A small reserve for guests who join at short notice is usual.
How short notice can interpreting equipment be booked?
Bookings at short notice are possible, for example for a press conference arranged at short notice. Availability depends on the scale of the system and on the date.
Is the equipment looked after on site?
Set-up, the test run and technical support during the event are part of the rental.
What is an interpreting hub?
A studio with professional interpreting equipment from which interpreters work on an event remotely. Booths, interpreter consoles, screens and secured connections are permanently installed there.
Renting interpreting equipment: tell us what you are planning
How many languages, how many participants, which room, which date? With those four details we can already put a quote together. Everything else we settle in conversation, by phone if you prefer.
And if you need interpreters as well as the equipment, you get them from us at the same time.
