The Task
During the negotiations to establish BRITA SE, employee representatives from several European countries came together to define the participation rights of the future SE Works Council. The negotiations were held in six languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish and Dutch. That called for an interpreting team covering five language combinations and a technical setup able to bring five booths together reliably. After the company was founded, the collaboration continued, now in German, English and Italian.
Our Solution
For the founding negotiations in 2021, we put together a team of simultaneous interpreters covering all six languages and installed the complete interpreting equipment with five booths, looked after on site by our own technicians. That way every delegate could speak and listen in their own language, without the detour via a lingua franca. Since 2022, we have supported the meetings of the SE Works Council in German, English and Italian. The long-standing collaboration pays off: our team knows the topics, the committee structures and the people around the table. That saves onboarding time, shortens coordination and keeps the focus on the content.
