The task

On 16 and 17 September 2026, around 90 experts from the polyurethane processing industry met at the 11th PU Elastomer Trade Meeting at the Hotel Barceló Dresden Newa. Raw material suppliers, machinery manufacturers and processors presented their latest developments: from special isocyanates, elastomer coatings, release agents and cleaners to PU rollers for steel processing and elastomers under extreme conditions in pipeline applications, all the way to high-pressure processing, metering and casting machines, Industry 4.0 and mechanical recycling. To make sure every participant could follow the presentations, the entire conference was interpreted simultaneously between German and English. The demands were high: chemistry, materials science and plant engineering are closely intertwined here, and a specialist audience pays attention to every single term.

Our solution

An assignment like this only succeeds with interpreters who are thoroughly at home in technical subjects. Our team has many years of experience interpreting technical conferences and already knew the industry’s topics from previous editions of the trade meeting. Even so, every conference is new. That is why we prepared thoroughly for all presentation topics in advance and carefully built up the terminology in German and English, from polyurethane chemistry and material properties to processing and plant technology. As a result, the presentations on both days were rendered precisely and without delay, and all participants could concentrate fully on the content.
